Poverty and war are deeply interconnected .Trauma from war can leave entire generations struggling with mental health issues.War often exacerbates poverty by destroying infrastructure, disrupting economies, and displacing people from their homes. On the other hand, poverty can fuel conflict, as competition over scarce resources and lack of opportunities create conditions for violence and unrest.
